Kriminalvården is hiring case managers for special transports

Kriminalvården is growing – we are building new, renovating, and expanding, and we are now looking for more employees. Our most important goal is to reduce recidivism – to break the vicious cycle. If we succeed, society will be safer and more secure for everyone. We are the authority responsible for prisons, community service, remand prisons, and client transports.

The Transport Department (TA) is tasked with transporting and supervising persons deprived of liberty. These are Kriminalvården's clients who are moved between remand prisons and correctional facilities, to court hearings, and hospitals, among others. TA also transports persons deprived of liberty for, for example, the Police, the National Board of Institutional Care, the Migration Agency, and psychiatry. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

In the role of case manager, high security requirements and personal competence are demanded as you collaborate closely with our external authorities such as the police, hospitals, and the Migration Agency. We place high demands on being service-oriented and relationship-building in this role.

As a case manager for special transports, you will be responsible for the most complex and challenging journeys. You will work in a small team of 2, where good cooperation skills and stress resilience are essential. You should also be able to structure your tasks in a careful and efficient manner.

QUALIFICATIONS

The work as a case manager for special transports imposes high security requirements and personal competence as you collaborate closely with external authorities such as the police, hospitals, and the Migration Agency. To thrive in this position, you need to enjoy creating new work relationships and nurturing existing ones. Furthermore, you are expected to be service-oriented, flexible, and capable of making decisions. Since you will be working with complex transports, you also need to be resilient and able to see alternative solutions and have good judgment.

We are looking for someone who has:

• Completed and passed Kriminalvården's basic training
• Worked with special transports recently within Kriminalvården
• Experience working as a Transport Planner
• Good knowledge of the Swedish language in both spoken and written form
• Good knowledge of the English language in both spoken and written form, at least CEFR B2.
• Experience working with Kriminalvården's IT systems (TPS, KVR, Heroma prod, Proceedo)
• Good computer skills (Office package)

It is an advantage if you have:

• Completed high-risk transport training within Kriminalvården
• Experience working as a correctional officer in the Transport Department
• Experience expressing yourself well in writing in Swedish in administrative contexts
• Experience expressing yourself well in writing in English in administrative contexts
